Eco School Group win big at the DCC Award Ceremony

Six members of Grove Eco School Group attended the DCC Award Ceremony on Tuesday 22nd November in the Marryat Hall.

They were there to collect the Gold Certificate and Overall Best School Garden Award in recognition of the progress made in using the school grounds for outdoor learning and for links with the wider community.

Also awarded were an Outstanding It’s Your Neighbourhood Award, plus a Certificate of Achievement for continuing high standards of community involvement in the creation of the Queen St Community Garden. These were awarded by a representative from Keep Scotland Beautiful.

Matthew Ahrens (S5) was awarded a Community Champion 2016 Award by DCC in recognition for his outstanding contribution to the work and development of the Queen St Community Garden over the last 5 years.
