Grove Gardening Awards
Great news from the Grove Gardeners as the school projects have reaped a number of rewards
-
Grove Academy were awarded first place and a Gold Certificate for the School and Garden Competition 2018. This is the 3rd year we have been awarded this honour. Our outreach work with the local community and the splendid work in creating Natanya Lim's garden display with the Men's Shed were all part of the award as well as our orchard and planting projects using the greenhouse as a base.

Queen St has been awarded an Outstanding again in the It's Your Neighbour Award 2018. Organising the Scarecrow Trail, the input on the WW1 display by Prince's Trust and community involvement with the wonderful Douglas Community Centre Mosaic group were all factors.
-
Shiell St IYN Award has gone from Advancing to Thriving this year. The new pond, getting involved with the Glow Gold campaign and the rich diversity of wildflowers and herbs helped it advance.

Natanya Lim was a Trophy Winner at the Dundee flower and Food Festival winning the Best Wildflower Themed Garden. The prize was well deserved and celebrated the beauty of the design and the community involvement in bringing the design to life
