Grove Pupils Win Pensioners Challenge Prize
A team of Grove Academy pupils have won first place in the 2017 Dundee Pensioners Challenge competition.
Jack Anderson, Lucy Waddington, Stella Waddington and Grace Sellarajah (all S3) received the Pensioners Forum Trophy and a cash prize of £100 for their presentation, which highlighted some of the issues faced by the elderly in society, as well as celebrating their achievements. Rachel Anderson and Rachael Birnie (both S3) also received special commendation certificates for coming fourth in the competition.
The prize giving ceremony took place on Wednesday 21st June. Four schools across the city took part in the competition, which is supported by the Dundee Pensioners Forum. The standard of the presentations in the competition was extremely high, and all of the Grove Academy participants should be extremely proud of their achievements. Well done!
