Grove Signposts – Decider Skills - CAMHs.
We are delighted to have Keren Hadden (CAMHs) and Linzi McKerrecher (Health Promotion Officer, Speak Easy) as part of our Grove Signposts initiative. They are running The Deciders sessions online for parents/cares of Grove Academy pupils. The Decider Skills sessions will run for 4 weeks for 40 mins, starting on Tuesday 21st September at 6.30pm on Zoom. The invitation to attend is extended to all parents and carers though places are very limited.
The Decider Skills are a series of proactive mental health tools. Decider skills aim to teach young people to manage their thoughts, feelings and behaviours in different, more positive ways during times of emotional difficulty.
Of the 32 Decider Skills, 12 can be taught out with specialist mental health services. The Decider Skills are as useful for parents, as they are for children and young people. As parents they offer a means of talking to and supporting young people during times of difficulty.
