It's Your Neighbourhood Assessor Visit
Jennifer Sibbald, an It's Your Neighbourhood Assessor visited our two community gardens on Wednesday 21st June. Starting at the newest garden, Shiell St, she saw the new pond put in last weekend and the newly laid path. Very much a work in progress, the site is beginning to take shape and regualrly receives words of encouragement from passers by who can remember how awful this piece of land used to look.
Queen St Community Garden received an Outstanding Award last year. It is well established and looks great at this time of year. A real haven for wildlife. This year our work has centred around the 'Mythical Meadow' and many of the artists involved in creating characters that could live in the garden, were present to meet the judge and see their artwork either in place. There are still a few plaques to go up but why not take a look around and enjoy this patch of colour in the centre of Broughty Ferry.
