The Teenage Brain - Parent Information Evening
Caroline is an Educational Psychologist who works with us here at Grove Academy.
Nurturing approaches are increasingly being introduced in secondary schools across Scotland and is very much changing the landscape on how schools deal with and promote positive relationships as a way of meeting the needs of young people in our modern society.
At the heart of Nurture is a focus on wellbeing and relationships and a drive to support the growth anddevelopment of children and young people.
Nurture is important for the development of a pupil’s self-esteem and for the development of their wellbeing.
Caroline has been working on nurture with staff at Grove as part of their professional development. During the November in-service staff will complete nurture modules and also reflect on how nurture can be implemented into classrooms.
We are fortunate to be able to offer parents an opportunity to meet with and listen to Caroline talk about nurture and the teenage brain on Thursday 22nd Nov 6:30pm – 8pm @Grove Academy.
