Windmill Garden
Amy MacLeod, Anna Bennet, Claire Roberts and Sophie Kidd from Grove Academy joined Ellen McCance, a member of the jewish community, Rev Catherine Collins and Joan Chalmers and Liz Taylor from Broughty in Bloom to plant up the flower bed in the Windmill Garden.
A plaque in memory of victims of the holocaust was installed in the garden in 2015 by Grove Lesson from Auschwitz Ambassadors Rachel Lonie and Natalia Wodja.
The planting was followed by a reading by Anna from Anne Frank's Diary, a reading by Ellen, in Aramaic, in memory of the dead, and a few words from Rev Collins on the importance of building community.
We hope that the memorial will be used as a place of reflection for all those who have experienced loss, or want to remember those who have died or need our support.
