Former Grove Academy Pupil Success - Scottish Science Baccalaureate Success.

Former Grove Academy pupil, Emily Jamieson, has had a scientific letter published in a research Journal. Her letter was published in the Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science journal as a result of her S6 Baccalaureate research and in response to previous research carried out investigating the inheritance of high myopia. Her research, which she carried out in conjunction with Abertay University, has inspired her to take her scientific studies further at Glasgow University.

Emily’s letter can be viewed in the previously named journal Volume 53 No.10 entitled, ‘The Novel Human p.1587V Variant in the ZNF644 Gene is Unlikely to Be the Pathogenic Cause of Dominantly Inherited High Myopia in a Chinese Patient’.
